Removing debris
Removing leaves and debris from your cover will prevent excess stress on the cover.
It is a good idea to remove leaves and debris from the cover periodically. Excessive leaf buildup can lead to excess stress on the cover which can cause premature failure. For solid covers this is even more important. Leaf and debris can prevent the automatic cover pump from operating properly. Throughout the fall and winter, check the cover regularly for leaf buildup and use a leaf blower to remove.
