Prizes

Grand Prize:
Both the homeowner and dealer Grand Prize winners will receive a Mod Shade Kit (a $2,099 value), featuring robust steel poles and a Select sun shade available in one of five vibrant colors.

Additional Recognition:
Grand Prize winners will also have the opportunity to be featured prominently in Tara's brochures, on our social media channels, and on our website.

Runners-Up Prizes:
The top 5 entries from both homeowners and dealers will receive either a set of luxurious Tara Pool Towels or 2 stylish Tara Tumblers.

Judging

Entries will be judged on creativity, composition, use of the pool liner in the design, and overall aesthetic appeal. The judging panel will consist of industry experts and our marketing team.

How to Take Great Photos

Lighting

Shoot during the early morning or late afternoon for softer light. Avoid harsh midday sun which can create unflattering shadows and highlights.

    Composition

    Try various angles to capture the uniqueness of your pool and its surroundings. Include wide shots that show the entire setting and closer shots that highlight the details of the Tara pool liner.

    Staging

    Arrange any poolside furniture neatly. Ensure that umbrellas are uniformly open or closed and that all cushions are tidy and in place.
    Ensure the pool water is calm and clean. Still water reflects light beautifully and highlights the design and color of your pool liner.
    Remove unnecessary items like cleaning equipment or yard tools that can clutter the view.

    Technical Tips

    Use a tripod for stability, especially in lower light conditions.
    If using a smartphone, tap on the area of the screen where the pool is to ensure the focus is sharp.

    TERMS & CONDITIONS

    Eligibility:

    • The contest is open to all legal residents who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Both homeowners and dealers are eligible to participate.
    • Employees of Tara Pool & Outdoor Products, its affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising, promotion, and fulfillment agencies, and their immediate family members are not eligible.

    Contest Period:

    • The contest starts on Memorial Day and ends on the last day of July. Entries submitted outside of this period will not be considered.

    How to Enter:

    • Entrants must submit their photos via the designated online forms for homeowners and dealers. No purchase is necessary to enter or win.

    Photo Requirements:

    • Photos must be original, not previously published or awarded in any other photo contest.
    • Minimum photo resolution is 1920x1080 pixels, in JPEG or PNG format.
    • The pool area must be clean, and the pool water calm and clear.

    Judging:

    • Entries will be judged by a panel selected by Tara Pool & Outdoor Products, based on criteria such as creativity, composition, and how well the photos showcase the Tara pool liners.
    • Decisions of the judges are final and binding.

    Prizes:

    • Grand Prize winners (one homeowner and one dealer) will receive a Mod Shade Kit and the opportunity to be featured in Tara’s marketing materials.
    • Runners-up will receive a Tara prize package.
    • Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternatives are offered.

    Rights and Permissions:

    • By entering the contest, participants grant Tara Pool & Outdoor Products a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, display, distribute, and publish the submitted photos in any media for promotional purposes.
    • Entrants affirm their submissions are their own work, do not infringe on the rights of others, and comply with all applicable laws.

    General Conditions:

    • Tara Pool & Outdoor Products reserves the right to cancel or modify the contest if fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond Tara Pool & Outdoor Products's reasonable control impairs the integrity of the contest, as determined by Tara Pool & Outdoor Products in its sole discretion.
    • Tara Pool & Outdoor Products is not responsible for errors in the administration or fulfillment of this contest, including without limitation mechanical, human, printing, distribution or production errors, and may cancel, terminate or modify this contest based upon such error at its sole discretion without liability.

    Data Protection:

    • Personal information collected from participants will be used by Tara Pool & Outdoor Products only for the purpose of administering the contest and as specified in the privacy policy of Tara Pool & Outdoor Products.

    Agreement to Terms:

    • Participation in the contest constitutes an entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to and acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and the decisions of Tara Pool & Outdoor Products, which are final and binding.

    When you submit your photo(s) to the Tara Pool Life Photo Contest, you are granting Tara Pool & Outdoor Products a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, publish, display, distribute, and promote your submitted photo(s) in various media formats and through any media channels for advertising, marketing, and promotional purposes, without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. You also confirm that you are the rightful owner of the submitted photo(s) and that your submission does not infringe upon the rights of any third parties.
